Fairview Retirement Community, nestled in semi-rural Pinjara Hills on Brisbane's west side, is within 30 minutes drive of Brisbane city and only five minutes from Kenmore's shopping centres. For added convenience, the local council bus service stops just outside the front gate.

The retirement community has an active social committee and a relaxed feel with many residents actively involved in local activities and clubs.

There are a range of facilities for all to enjoy, including a heated swimming pool and spa, barbecue and gazebo area and a large recreation centre with library, billiards room and auditorium. A hairdresser and canteen are also located on the site.

Fairview Retirement Community has 76 independent living villas with a low, high and special care dementia unit and day therapy centre located on site.

KEY SERVICES

High care accommodation
Available for residents requiring a high level of care, most rooms are single accommodation (two rooms offer twin share accommodation), emergency call system, air conditioning, over bed lighting, television aerial connection and en-suite.
Low care accommodation:
Available for residents requiring a low level of care, the facility provides suites which share kitchen, furnished lounge and TV area. Each private suite is furnished with bedroom furniture and linen, emergency call system, ensuite, and is air conditioned.
Special care:
Special care is available in our cottage for residents experiencing dementia related conditions. This Cottage is a secure environment with a private garden and pergola setting.
Retirement villas:
There are 76 one & two bedroom villas available at Fairview Retirement Community. Villas are resident (equity) funded and are available by way of a Loan and License agreement.

All independent villas are of high quality, represent excellent value and are architecturally designed to meet the special needs of retirees.

Day therapy centre:
The day therapy centre provides physiotherapy, podiatry and alternative therapies to residents and members of the community.
Respite accommodation:

HomeCare:

RSL HomeCare is all about supporting independence, helping people stay at home in their community for as long as possible.

Our team of community nurses, trained carers and volunteers work with clients and their families to design and deliver tailored assistance package that meet each client's health and lifestyle needs.

From personal care, domestic assistance and meal preparation to community nursing, home based respite and transportation, the flexibility of HomeCare assistance means that as needs change so too can the type of assistance provided.

You can receive RSL HomeCare through referral made by a medical practitioner or self referral. Costs vary depending on each individual's eligibility for government funded programs. These services usually require a minimal co-payment, however if clients are financially disadvantaged, co-payments may be reduced or waived. Those who don't meet the eligibility criteria are still able to obtain HomeCare services on a fee-for-service basis.
