The Community
Chelsea Retirement Community is comprised of 101 independent living villas and a 90 bed residential aged care facility that caters for low, high and special dementia care needs.
The Retirement Community is within walking distance of major shopping outlets and the Maryborough Golf Club and only minutes from Maryborough town centre, the hospital and railway station with links to Brisbane and Rockhampton via the Tilt Train.
Residents at Chelsea can enjoy sub-tropical gardens which are extensively landscaped and regularly maintained. There are also a wide range of onsite community facilities, including a heated swimming pool and spa, barbecue gazebo area, recreation room with billiards table and an auditorium for larger functions and concerts, mobile canteen and a hairdresser also visit weekly.

High Care Accommodation
Available for residents requiring a high level of care, each room offers twin share accommodation, emergency call system, ceiling fans and heaters, over bed lighting, television aerial connection and en-suite.
Low Care Accommodation:
Available for residents requiring a low level of care, the facility provides suites with private outdoor areas, and which share kitchen, furnished lounge and TV area. Each private suite is furnished with bedroom furniture and linen, emergency call system, en suite, ceiling fans and heaters.
Retirement Villas

Chelsea's bustling environment community comprises 101 established and well-appointed one and two bedroom independent living villas.

The villas have been carefully designed with today's retiree in mind, where independence, privacy, security and value for money have guided the architectural design and style.

An on site gardener takes care of maintaining the outside of each villa, as well as the community infrastructure and general gardens. This ensures that residents have no maintenance worries and more time to take pleasure in Chelsea's active social program.

Residents are able to enjoy outings and activities organised by staff and volunteers, and a community bus regularly takes residents for shopping trips and excursions.

Serviced Apartments:
Each serviced apartment features a bed/living area, kitchenette, separate en-suite and provision for laundry facilities, security doors, screens and curtains.
Special Care:
Special care is available in our Special Care Cottage for residents experiencing dementia related conditions. This Cottage is a secure environment with a private garden and pergola setting.
Respite Accommodation:
Short term respite accommodation is available for both high and low care clients.
HomeCare:

RSL HomeCare is all about supporting independence, helping people stay at home in their community for as long as possible.

Our team of community nurses, trained carers and volunteers work with clients and their families to design and deliver tailored assistance package that meet each client's health and lifestyle needs.

From personal care, domestic assistance and meal preparation to community nursing, home based respite and transportation, the flexibility of Home Care assistance means that as needs change so too can the type of assistance provided.

You can receive RSL HomeCare through referral made by a medical practitioner or self referral. Costs vary depending on each individual's eligibility for government funded programs. These services usually require a minimal co-payment, however if clients are financially disadvantaged, co-payments may be reduced or waived. Those who don't meet the eligibility criteria are still able to obtain HomeCare services on a fee-for-service basis.
