Construction of 52 independent villas and a 60 bed residential aged care facility at RSL Care's Milford Grange in Ipswich is due to commence in March 2008.
This project, a joint venture between Queensland Country Women's Association (QCWA) and RSL Care, is master planned to include 61 independent living villas and a 120 bed aged care facility accommodating low, high and dementia care needs.
Milford Grange Retirement Community will replace the existing QWCA aged care facility at Milford Street, Ipswich and the QCWA bed licences will be transferred to the new project.
Independent living will be available from February 2009 and residential care by September 2009.

KEY FEATURES OF THE COMMUNITY
Retirement Villas:
The development will include 61 air-conditioned independent villas. Special features include: security screens, provision for cable TV and internet access, open plan kitchen with quality stainless steel appliances, reverse cycle air-conditioning, private courtyard or patio, remote-control garage, level design with no stairs and emergency 24-hour call systems. Residents will have a range of floor plans to choose from and scope to personalise some of the finishes.
Facilities:
Resort-style facilities including a pool complex with heated spa, BBQ area, auditorium, billiards room, library and hairdresser.
Residential Care:
A state of the art 120-bed aged care facility will be co-located on site.
HomeCare:
At-home assistance including community nursing, personal care, home-based respite, domestic assistance and home visiting will be available to village residents (For more information about HomeCare phone 1300 796 111).
THE LOCATION
Milford Grange will be positioned to capture the surrounding natural beauty of neighbouring parkland. The community will be located in a landscaped, environmentally sensitive, secure campus on Grange Road, Eastern Heights.
