Baycrest Retirement Community comprises 192 independent living villas and a 101 bed residential aged facility catering for low, high and dementia care needs, and which features the new 'Bougainvillea' extension. Baycrest is also proud to offer RSL Care Premium – an extra services option, providing more choice to residents requiring high care with enhanced accommodation, dining and personal services and the same high quality care for which RSL Care is renowned.
RSL Care supports the philosophy of 'ageing in place'. This means that as needs change, every effort is made to help residents access higher levels of care within the same community.

Independent Retirement Villas:

One of the great advantages of living in an RSL Care retirement community is that village residents have priority access to ongoing residential care. RSL HomeCare, a range of services assisting residents to remain independent in their own home, is offered to all Baycrest's independent living residents as well as to the wider community.
Buy Back
RSL Care offers one of the best financial deals in the market. Retirement villas are purchased under loan and license agreement with financial risks reduced on our special ‘buy back’ arrangement. RSL Care guarantees to purchase the villa for the price paid (less deferred fees) if not sold within six months of being on the market. For villas selling within six months RSL Care returns a half share of the capital gain (less deferred fees).
Residential Care:
Designed for low, high and dementia care needs, the fully integrated residential care community has the security of an emergency call system as well as a registered nurse and other care staff on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All residential care suites feature an ensuite, ceiling fan, heater, over-bed lighting, and provision for TV. Some rooms include air conditioning and internet connections.
Low care cottages feature private outdoor areas, well-equipped kitchens and furnished lounge areas. Suites are furnished with bed and linen, side table and built-in wardrobe with space for a TV or bar fridge. Residents are encouraged to bring personal items.
The high care facility offers single and twin share accommodation. RSL Care Premium - extra services options is also available for residents requiring high care. The special care cottage catering to residents with dementia, offers a secure environment with exclusive private garden settings.
Our facilities meet strict standards and are government accredited. Like all RSL Care facilities, access to residential care is subject to assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT), room availability and payment of fees appropriate to your financial circumstances.
HomeCare:
RSL Care's HomeCare service supports independence, helping people stay at home and in their community for as long as possible.
Residents at Baycrest can access a broad range of HomeCare services including:
- Community nursing
- Personal care
- Domestic assistance
- Home-based respite
- Transport
- Home visits and social support
- Home safety and transitional care (fees apply)
