Galleon Gardens Retirement Community is located in Currumbin Waters on the Gold Coast, just a short stroll from beautiful Currumbin Creek.

Also close by are beaches, local sporting clubs and shopping centres. Plus with the local bus service stopping at the gate, residents have easy access to theme parks, major shopping centres, entertainment venues and the Brisbane rail service.

Galleon Gardens has an active social committee, a relaxed feel and a strong sense of community spirit. And with an abundance of things to do and see on the Gold Coast, activities and outgoings are regularly planned for all residents to enjoy.

There is a range of facilities for all to enjoy, including heated swimming pool and spa, barbecue and gazebo area and a large recreation centre and auditorium. A hairdresser and canteen are also located on-site.

Galleon Gardens accommodates 45 independent villas, 15 services apartments, 55 low care suites, a 50 bed high care facility and a 20 bed special care unit. There is also a limited number of one bedroom villas available for rental to those who are financially disadvantaged.

The village has been fully accredited by the Retirement Village Association of Australia.

KEY SERVICES

High care accommodation:
Available for residents requiring a high level of care, each room offers twin share accommodation, an emergency call system, ceiling fans and heaters, over bed lighting, television aerial connection and en-suite.
Low care accommodation:
Available for residents requiring a low level of care, the facility provides suites with private outdoor areas, share kitchen, furnished lounge and TV area. Each private suite is furnished with bedroom furniture and linen, emergency call system, en-suite, a ceiling fan and heater.
Retirement villas:
The retirement community is comprised of 61 villas:

1 & 2 bedroom units with lock-up garage, or carport. These units are Resident (Equity) Funded and are available by way of a Loan and License agreement.

1 bedroom units are available for rental to financially disadvantaged persons (a Means Test is required). Fees for rental units are available on request.
Special Care:
Special care is available in our care cottage for residents experiencing dementia related conditions. This Cottage is a secure environment with a private garden and pergola setting.
Respite Accommodation:
Short term respite accommodation is available for both high and low care clients.
HomeCare:

RSL HomeCare is all about supporting independence, helping people stay at home in their community for as long as possible.

Our team of community nurses, trained carers and volunteers work with clients and their families to design and deliver tailored assistance package that meet each client's health and lifestyle needs.

From personal care, domestic assistance and meal preparation to community nursing, home based respite and transportation, the flexibility of HomeCare assistance means that as needs change so too can the type of assistance provided.

You can receive RSL HomeCare through referral made by a medical practitioner or self referral. Costs vary depending on each individual's eligibility for government funded programs. These services usually require a minimal co-payment, however if clients are financially disadvantaged, co-payments may be reduced or waived. Those who don't meet the eligibility criteria are still able to obtain HomeCare services on a fee-for-service basis.
