RSL Care has decided to sell its property at Nollamara Drive, Elanora and source a more appropriate site after concluding that it is not economically viable to develop an integrated aged care and retirement village on the site.

“RSL Care purchased the block at Elanora based on positive feasibility studies.  Significant reductions to the original feasibility have occurred in the development approval process. Together with geotechnical and other site difficulties, we have concluded that the site cannot be economically developed for aged care and retirement village purposes and will now exit this site,” said RSL Care CEO Ross Smith.

RSL Care is still committed to providing more lifestyle choices for retirees in the Gold Coast area including residential aged care services and independent living options.

“We intend to continue sourcing an appropriate site in this area for aged care and retirement village purposes” said Mr Smith.
