School-based traineeships allow students, typically years 11 and 12, to study for their Senior Certificate or equivalent, whilst at the same time undertaking Australian Government approved and accredited training qualifications as paid employees.
A traineeship is a structured training and paid employment arrangement that involves a contract between the employer and the trainee. Traineeships vary in length from 12 months to four (4) years.
